Happy New Year and Welcome to Army Junior Reserve Officer Training (JROTC)! I am Sergeant Major Pryor and I will be your Army Junior Reserve Officer Training Instructor for the next 18 weeks. I am excited to get to know each and every student/cadet and watch the new leaders develop. Although this is week 1 of the semester, the first couple of weeks will be filled with introductions, classroom rituals, expectations, paperwork, leadership assignments and uniform issue. Good Evening Parents/Cadets! I hope you are all doing well and enjoyed your 1 week Mind Break and had some time to digest everything that is going on. Unfortunately the school doors will be closed for the remainder of the 2019/20 school year, but we will ALL get through it! Moving forward, I'm sure you have already read the information on the Cobb County website and from Dr. G on how the school year will continue and what your options are. The school schedule will be Monday - Thursday with Friday being a make-up assignment day and when we will have a weekly zoom meet-up for any questions over previous lessons. In the Level 1 JROTC class there are several Priority Standards we must complete, fortunately we have covered the majority of them during the in class and virtual sessions. I am suggesting that everyone continue on this journey of learning the first level of JROTC and completing the remaining Priority Standards. There will be incentives for those who continue.
